Buy Local Foods

Fables is committed to working with local farmers and purveyors to help support both community & sustainability, and to help reduce our carbon footprint. Locally sourced food means less fuel consumption, which means less CO2 in the atmosphere and oceans.

Compost

One of the most significant aspects in our efforts to reduce waste is our composting program. Anything that can be composted, is. This can include fruit and vegetable scraps, egg shells, coffee grounds, tea bags, and unbleached paper towels. Much of the compostable food scraps are donated to various farms, as this makes for a great source of supplemental feed.

Recycle & Reuse

We at Fables are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. One effective way we accomplish this is through the practice of recycling and reusing containers, many of which were destined to end up in a landfill.

Compostable & Recyclable Products

We offer eco-friendly service-ware (forks, knives, spoons, plates, bowls, napkins, etc.) that is 100% plant based and completely compostable.

Rentals

We offer fully reusable silverware, plates, napkins, and mason jars. This is a great way to reduce waste that would otherwise find itself in a landfill.

Carbon Neutral

Fables is a carbon neutral business, thanks to We Are Neutral, an initiative of Earth Givers, Inc., a non-profit organisation working in communities since 2007 to create unique and relevant sustainability solutions for businesses that can benefit local communities everywhere. Their mission is "to remind everyone that we are all innately creative and resourceful earth-givers. We do this by giving individuals and businesses an opportunity to distinguish themselves as inspirational leaders through our meaningful local carbon offset program. We create our carbon reductions by planting native trees on local conservation lands and performing energy efficient upgrades in local low-income housing free of charge to the families who live there."
